The Metabolic Performance Gym is located in Glenelg, South Australia, outfitted with high grade commercial equipment and exclusively offering private one on one instructed sessions.
Each session lasts a maximum of 20 minutes. Please refer to Metabolic Performance Exercise for an overview regarding the principles behind this type of brief and effective exercise.
Your first session each week will consist of the Big Four workout, which will strengthen and condition the entire musculature of your body.
Your second session will be the TROM Dead Lift, which concentrates on further strengthening the muscles of your back, with special emphasis on the muscles in the lower back.
To enhance your balance and co-ordination, we also incorporate a one leg squat into both sessions, this exercise specifically strengthens the musculature around your knee and hip joints.
Over time, as you become more proficient at performing the different exercises, will allow you to choose this option. As your strength level rises, your body can adapt to more muscular stimulation in on session, but the need for more recovery time, may rise. Training just once a week, not only saves you time and money, but is also sufficient to maintain and further improve your strength.
However, it may desirable to continue with two sessions per week, even when your strength has reached a good level. If you engage in other physical activity throughout the week, it needs to be taken into consideration. Dividing your strength training into two shorter, rather one longer session, can often produce the best results in this context.
